Though relatively unknown, it’s a performing and powerful work-horse, capable of coping with massive work-loads whilest remaining fast, ultra-stable and rock-solid. Blogging about FreeBSD and operating systems based on this versatile, safe and secure OS, I want to generate more interest in FreeBSD and its dependants. Firefox 3.5 Released

Firefox 3.5 is now available in the FreeBSD ports (/usr/ports/www/firefox35/).

There are some issues with HTML5 and video

On Windows I still prefer Google Chrome as it’s faster and uses less resources. Just waiting for the extenstions to come.

Why is this blog called "FreeBSD, the unknown Giant? Well, it's what IBM has called FreeBSD. It's as simple as that:

IBM: "The FreeBSD operating system is the unknown giant among free operating systems. Starting out from the 386BSD project, it is an extremely fast UNIX-like operating system mostly for the Intel chip and its clones. In many ways, FreeBSD has always been the operating system that GNU/Linux-based operating systems should have been.
