I tried this beta, the installer and package manager are working at least in this version.
But once installed, you are logged as the livecd user, and it’s automatic, you have to modify gdm and restart it to be able to log-in. I choosed a french keyboard layout during the installation, but both console and X were in english, and the program xsetkbmap isn’t installed. Once I fixed this on my laptop, I start firefox and what do I see : amazon.com as search engine while duckduckgo.com is the homepage.
I don’t know what to think about GhostBSD. It’s easier to use than PC-BSD, there is no extra-tool compared to a FreeBSD installation except the package manager, but it has a lot of bug and for me, it’s quite unusable.
Have you fed this back to the GnomeBSD team? I’m not sure if they follow these comments.
GhostBSD STABLE 1′s installer just ate my whole harddisk. And then I gave up Linux and go FreeBSD. :-)
